For me, I miss the closeness, the intimacy, being able to communicate with the person without even using words. I miss holding hands, kissing, soft caresses. Having a person to count on, knowing that someone thinks you're special, cooking with the person. Just hanging out sitting on the sofa.
How about you guys, what do you miss the most? |

I miss the arguments over the remote, the fights over the pillows, the arguments over what to eat for dinner.
I also miss the conversation late at night while laying in bed, someone laying their head in my lap and watching a movie, having him come up and wrap his arms around me just because he wants too, and yea, I definitely miss the sex too, lol. |

I miss watching my husband get "excited" about things! He definitely knew how to amuse himself and he took on new projects and "creative endeavors" all the time.. So he was definitely full of surprises and a real "go-getter" in his own right!...Now it's "just me" and I have to keep myself amused. I have to find things to do to avoid getting bored!..I miss being able to "run things by" my husband. (Sharing my thoughts and feelings and fears and ideas and insights with him on a daily basis.) And it worked "both-ways." He "ran things by me" too!...I miss my husband's cute sense of humor! He knew how to make me smile and laugh! Now I have to work at not being "too serious!" ...I'm lonely! But I'm not "needy" or desperate for "just anybody" to avoid having to be alone. My husband is a "tough act" to "follow!" He's not easily replaced. I used to call him my "needle" in a "haystack." And I haven't been looking for anyone else yet. Haven't been on any dates since my husband passed away. (2 years ago.)....Maybe I'll feel open to love again at some point down the road. I'm not sure. Maybe love will have to hit me on the head with a 2 x 4 or ??

Aww, you guys, reading all of this made me all mushy and warm inside.
I miss being able to put his name as my emergency contact when I sign up for a dance class or at the doctors office. Miss being woken up to his phone call first thing in the morning. |

I miss absolutely nothing about my ex's. Why would I even bother putting myself through such torture? I chose to dump them for a reason. I've moved on.

I have to agree with this for the most part. I miss a few things here and there, but for the most part I prefer to not think about it. I do miss a few places here and there went and saw. |

In all honesty, I miss having a horrible day at work, then coming home and knowing the day is over. Being at total peace just knowing I am home again and knowing they are there waiting to help me settle down from the job.
