I’m looking for an old fashioned Southern Lady for friendship. She would enjoy taking walks, going on drives to nowhere in particular, visiting with family, going to a play in Abbeville or Newberry, having a picnic in a state park, or occasionally dinning out.

Hopefully, she would appreciate my very dry sense of humor. I don’t tell jokes. I just don’t seem to remember them. Rather, I enjoy telling what I call stories about day to day things. I probably get this from my folks, sitting around the dinner table or out on the front porch just talking to each other.

I enjoy reading Greek plays, writings of Epictetus, Plato’s Dialogues, 19th century American writers, poetry by Frost, History and Theology. There wouldn't be any need to have the same reading list as mine. But, I would be very appreciative for her to be able to share her readings.

I enjoy hiking the trails at Paris Mountain state park almost every day with my buddy Prinz. Aside from reading, I work on our family tree with six or seven female cousins of mine, both here and in Germany.

My family consists of four children (38, 37, 35 & 30 yrs old) and two grandchildren. I talk with each of the kids almost every day. So family is a mainstay in my life.

I really don’t want to relive my youth, but rather enjoy what I do have today and live my life in accordance with my age.
