am a professional in the medical research field, financially secure and physically fit.I'm a medical scientist, with a speciality in obesity and cardiovascular disease. I''ve had a long career in both medical research and administration (I was a bit of an "enfant terrible"). As a result of my profession, I've lived and worked around the world, including Europe and Latin America.

I've always been a bit of a jock (though one with a brain), beginning in college, and even competed on a U.S. National team some years ago. But unlike many former athletes, I stayed in relatively good condition and continue to compete in Masters competition, mainly triathlons.

With my daughters out of school (at least the undergraduate variety), and their careers sharply cutting through the waves of life, I have more time to think of my own happiness/personal life.
