Since I consider most 'Bio" formats boring & redundant, I use my own. Lke it or not, at least it's different.

Although born in a manger, growing up in Schenectady left me with a humbleness
and sense of the ridiculous that persists to this day.

My father was a finance executive with GE, my mother a librarian, and the dynamic
created by my parents :

Mother : "Dear, how is your life going to make a difference in the world?"
Dad : "Forget that, how much will you make?"

Resulted in a man my college advisor considered a "logical positivist, with the soul of a priest"
(which, at first blush, appears flattering, but upon a closer read probably means I'm a bit schizo.)

Originally, I wanted to teach but went into business because, try as I might to avoid the situation,
I had bills to pay & creditors to respect.

Activities

Mind
I read incessantly from Smithsonian, American Heritage and American Scholar to
People, Entertainment Weekly & Sports Illustrated. The former I leave on the coffee table,
the latter reside in a drawer … because appearences are important.

Body
I played three years of intercollegiate football & rugby and, in a failing attempt
to forestall age & decrepitude, continue to run & lift weights daily.

I have worked in Marketing for Pillsbury, Pepsi, RC Cola and Constellation Brands
(the largest alchoholic brv company in the world) but, I don't drink …go figure.

I have an eight year old son, who evidences all the qualities necessay
to be the dictator of a small South American country and delights in running me ragged.
but he is my life and I adore him …even if he's an Alien.
