About Vietscouty
Interests: Blowing things up
As you can see and read my stupid profile, I'm separated! My soon to be ex wife and I will soon go through a hard divorce so after when that happens, I'm only looking for friends. My sister is pushing me to date right after but its PROBABLY going to take years to even get over the divorce. The only person who matters most in my life right now is my daughter, so please, all I want is just your friendship. I'm a nice guy and all but its going to take me years to unwind my military mentality and lifestyle because thats the kind of environment I'm usually happy with. I had served more than enough years in the service and it has been my career goal to do it for more than 20 years but that day never came because it stopped at 8 years. It was due to my medical conditions I had received while I was serving. I'm also pursuing in Information Technology since I had been working on computers since I was 12, both software and hardware. My main career that I'm trying to strive for is Pathology, although they may make a lot of money but I do it because I just want to help people! FORGET ABOUT THE MONEY! If I had more than 200k per year, I might as well open my own clinic to give free medical to those who can't afford it. I had been living in the city and country and there are times when I miss the country side where everything is quiet.
My Character:
My character was drastically built when I was in the military. It made me a stronger and more responsible person. Although the real deal happened when I went to combat during the second week of the main invasion of Iraq and I was not the only NGUYEN child in Iraq because 2 of my other siblings were also at the same time as me. War has caused me to mature faster than ever.
COMMON QUESTIONS:
-Who am I?:
I'm just Tam, you know, Tam Da Ham? The fat Tam who will sit on people?
-Where am I from?:
I'm originally born and raised in Little Saigon, which is the southern part of California.
-What are your hobbies?:
I'm a typical Asian guy I suppose. I like modifying cars, play video and computer games, sports (Badminton, volleyball, football <And I don't play like a wuss in football. I tackle and go all out, FEEL THE PAIN, BABY! YEAH!>, exercise (On the Wii Fit and Active Sports since I can't afford to go to the gym), hiking, schooling (Especially medical), fishing, camping, shooting ranges, spending time with family and friends (If I even have time), and work; work; work; WORK!
-Are you the only child?:
No. I have 4 other siblings and I'm the oldest. The youngest is 22 years younger than me. I know, I can be like his dad or something. LOL!
-Are you a picky eater?:
Apparently I'm not. The Army changed me on this, completely because all we've ate was just MRE's for 3 to 5 months in Iraq and it SUCKED! Can't really complain since its just food and it'll keep you alive. Like Andrew Zimmerman says "If it looks good. Eat it!"
-Ever been in trouble with the law?:
I only got driving citations. Other than that, I used to beat up a kid half to death during my Sophmore year in High School because of our religious differences. Man, I was a stupid KID!
-How many girlfriends have you had?:
Lets see...including my soon to be ex wife, that would make 9 or 10. This is a stupid question and I don't even know why people would even ask this.
-Do you care how you dress?:
Does it really matter? It just depends. On a date, important meetings, work, I usually dress with slacks, shiny shoes (Yes, I spit shine my shoes to a point where you're able to see your own reflection on it) long sleeve shirt, and a tie (Professional). I have my standards but as for schooling and going other places, lets just say that I dress like I just got out of bed or casual. LOL!
-Are you clean?:
Personal hygiene is important! Brushing your teeth, especially! Cleaning your hands and feet before going to bed is another pet peeve of mine. Showering before going to bed is also another even after working hard when you sweat and stuff. As far as the house goes, it depends, if someone is being a total punk about it, then I would end up cleaning to military standards.
-Do you speak other languages?:
Apparently, I was once TRI LINGUAL, and I'm restudying how to read, write, and speak Japanese. I'm also self teaching myself to read and write Vietnamese. English probably doesn't really count but my next language will be Arabic, just in case I decide to be a government dog (Guns for HIRE) just to get back into the action. These languages that I'm restudying or relearning are provided by the Army itself and my account is still active.
-Are you a hard worker?:
Yes I am. Before the Army, I was a lazy bum, but after that, I've became a total workaholic. Its hard enough for me to break away and wanting to spend time with family and friends. I mean I don't want to work all the time but just enough to make myself feel productive.
-What made you join the military?:
It was due to family heritage. My father was a Vietnamese Soldier and so was my grandfather who served in the Imperial Army when Vietnam was under the Emperor's rule. My great grandfather had also served when I visited him in Vietnam, he told me stories of the Japanese invasion, although there may not be a single blood shed during that time period. Its funny, we're able to drive out the Chinese and French but not the Japanese?
-Do you have your own place?:
I'd use to. I once owned a townhouse that is now being put up for a short sale. I'd wish I never bought the house!
-Will you marry again?:
Probably not. Due to the fear of what happened in my soon to be last marriage. I'd just don't know how else to put it.
-Will you date?:
No. There is a high possibility that I wouldn't want to date nor build any kind of close relationship other than a friendship. I'd think being friends is good enough. I just have that fear factor of what happened in my last relationship.
-Are you committed?:
Yes. I'm a committed type of guy. I've tried to keep my marriage alive and well but I guess my soon to be ex didn't want to. But even though my marriage is broken, it doesn't mean that my commitment would change.
-Are you greedy?:
If it comes to money, I'm not really that greedy at all. I can careless but it all depends on the other person's responsibility to take care of their own bills and problems. I'm not the type of guy who baby people when they're old enough to learn how to make a living on their own and take care of their own bills.
-Do you like asking for help?:
I had been asked his plenty of times from my family and friends. I have major problems of asking for help because of what my parents taught me. But if it has to do with my anger issues, then I don't mind asking for help since it'll benefit me in the long run.
-Are you self fish or self centered?:
I don't know how to even respond to this. Lets just say that I bought my soon to be ex wife 2 or 3 different cars in a short period of time. A house that she loves, pay off her schooling, bought her shoes, clothes, took her to Catalina Island and spent several days there, paid for most and majority of her stuff and entertainment. My family told me that I spoil her too much. So this is up to you to answer.
-Are you a good listener?:
I can be if I wanted to. I don't mind people talking to me about their personal problems. At least it'll help them let it all out. I mean I've stopped a friend of mine who's like a brother to me, who nearly committed suicide.
-What do people say about you?:
Some say that I've lost it. Some say that I'm a very sweet, and caring father, and some say that I'm just straight out crazy. And some say that I'm a very reliable person (Only if I find it legit to be).
-Will you give up your daughter for another woman?:
This is an obvious answer. Since I love my daughter so much that I wouldn't even trade her for another woman. I just don't know how people can do that. I'm sorry, I love my daughter more, regardless.
-Do you spend or conserve?:
I'm very antsy about saving money because I got this kind of habit from my mom. She taught me very well that extra money saved up can be used for an emergency. So I guess that means I'm very conservative. I usually don't spend unless I know that I can afford it and leave some left over to put away for emergencies.
-If you decide to date again, what would you want in a woman?:
This is a tough question because after my soon to be ex wife. I'm going to be very picky! Before, I wasn't a picky person, as long she has a good personality and caring, then that is all it matters to me. Looks was the last thing that I would even care about. Now I'm looking for someone who can be productive, caring, sweet, kind, handle well on finances and decisions, and possibly cute? LOL! Its hard to find any cute ladies who are as cute as Mai Kuraki. Yes, this is considered to be VERY PICKY I suppose.
I just hope this answers all of the common questions that people would ask me. If there are anymore, I'm sure that I'll add it my profile.
