**Warning, this description grows bigger & changes frequently**

I work full time, the same job for over 12 years now. Only 21 more to go, so I am pretty well settled into San Diego for the duration.

My wife left me because she said she was no longer attracted to me, so I am going thru a divorce. I had to put that out there as fair warning. Its been 6 weeks since she pulled that on me, and I never suspected until I came home. But there comes a time when one gets tired of talking about how much one is hurt. I won't annoy you with the details unless you ask. That was back in August. Obviously that isn't that long ago. But I'm also tired of being alone and just sitting around the house by myself. I'm looking to start casual dating and see if it lasts into something.

Other than that, I enjoy taking my dog up Cowles Mnt, trying to learn to surf, and just going out and shooting pool. Or going to the movies...alone most often! Ha! And If you guessed, I rather enjoy river rafting. It is my favorite summer get away. I'm planning a few trips come 2010!

But I'm also happy to curl up on the couch and just read my book. I also grew up a geek, highschool chess club & chess team. And I have way too many Star Wars figurines cluttering my shelves.

But once I choose that special person, I am damn loyal. One of the hardest things about my divorce is the feelings of betrayal. I so miss how much I looked forward to coming home to her everyday. For Four years I was complety happy.

I'm looking for that special person that just excites me to be in their presence, much how my dog jumps for joy when I come home. I want to do that when I come into their presence.

And I want that person to have a life of their own, preferrably a career of their own, something that makes a relationship an equal partnership. I want them to have their own friends, because I work everyother weekend. And its not fair to expect someone to just sit around the house waiting for me to comehome!
