I find life to be very mysterious. I love a good intellectual conversation, but I don' like to get carried away in philosophy. I practice meditation regularly and I lived in a Zen Buddhist monastery near Portland. I don't call myself buddhist and I don't like labels in general. I think they only serve to separate people. I hope to date someone who at least has an interest in the great mysteries of life. People who think they have the answers are boring.

I can seem serious at times, but I have a good sense of humor about life. My jokes could be on the dry side. The more I get to know you the more I tend to loosen up. I have a calming effect on people.

I love outdoor activities and new challenges. I like to cook, play soccer, take really long walks, find cool looking critters, watch movies, garden and my new hobby is Portland.

I have traveled a lot, but I want to experience one place more deeply and I have chosen Portland. I feel like I don't want to travel for a long time. I have been lucky to see a lot of the world. When I was younger I lived in several South American countries.
