My name is Jeff and I am looking for a girl who is nice and intelligent--and has goals in life that are really important to her. Also--I am looking for a girl who is interested in hanging out and seeing how things go... someone who is looking for a real relationship.

I am a 25-year-old male working toward my Ph.D. in English; and I am also an English instructor. I absolutely love my life and completely believe that success is measured by happiness. (I guess this all makes me kind of nerdy--but I am a cool nerd!)

It has taken a lot of hard work for me to get where I am today. I like it when others work hard to fulfill goals that make them happy. Yea, I really don't understand why anyone would want to spend his or her whole life doing something they can't stand.

Since being in Arizona, I have been labeled with having a "Midwestern sense of humor." I am not exactly sure what that means--but it has something to do with using very dry sarcasm... I try to not take life too seriously, so I do like to joke a lot--hopefully, you can understand my dry, witty humor!

Music is a huge part of my life. I love to go to rock concerts. I mostly listen to indie and punk rock--really anything with a guitar in it. I would love to have someone to go to shows with here.

Most of my time is spent reading and writing...and grading; but I am easily distracted, and I am very open to trying new things, going to new places, and meeting new people.

I was born and grew up in Ohio. The last two years of my life I lived in Michigan. Now, school has brought me out to Arizona. I have been to Europe a couple times and have come to believe that Berlin is my favorite place in the entire world. I am actually in the process of learning German (been there twice and want to make sure I am prepared on visit three).

Family and friends are very important to me. Unfortunately, most of my good friends are somewhere else in the country and my entire family lives in Ohio. I am a bit of a mama's boy and call my mom nearly everyday--don't judge me...

I consider myself to be a socialist in theory--though I do not believe a true socialist world can ever be attained... we could at least work to shrink the gaps in social classes.

I like sports--playing and watching. Cleveland rocks!!!
