I tried that positive thinking stuff once. I knew it wasn't going to work, and sure enough, it didn't.
That was a line from Cheers. I'm not pessimistic, I just find that line hilarious.
So, I just joined this site. 3/20/11. Hoping to find a nice, intellectual girl maybe between 33-38? If I don't sound sure about the age range, it's because everything is negotiable. I'd like to have kids some day but it's not looking that way so far.
On a less serious note, I'm a trustworthy, funny guy, good with my hands. I like to fix things and build things. I don't have a TV. Most of my time is spent working on projects around the house. I have an old house in perpetual need of renovation, which I enjoy immensely.
I have two cats. I think dogs are ok and I can definitely see the appeal but nobody would mistake me for a dog person. Not a fan of being licked. By a dog.
What else can I tell you. I have a decent job. Don't like the commute but I'm a mechanical designer and I enjoy it. I like to invent and improve things.
I could probably make this better with a little more thought but I'm just rattling off a few things as they come to me.
Things that make me happy are spending time with my family, going to Spain for New Years, shoveling snow and mowing the lawn (not joking), fixing something for someone (all heroic-like), holidays and birthdays, humor and witicisms, my cats, recycling and repurposing, home improvement...
A good match for me would probably carry some of these descriptors: happy, kind, funny, brainy, tomboyish, nonsmoker, sweet, sensible... Just a few adjectives off the top of my head. Not all dealbreakers. It doesn't really matter what your interests are. I'm sure I would be fascinated to hear about them and maybe even participate.
Well, I guess I've said enough. Good luck in your search and please drop me a note if you have the slightest inclination. I'd be happy to hear from you.
