I would like to meet a creative and free spirited man who is not marching to the familiar drummer.

I grew up in North Carolina, but spent 20 years in North Dakota and worked on a Lakota Sioux Indian Reservation. Next, I lived near Savannah, Georgia for 15 years. I returned to NC to live in June of 2009.

I have studied interior design and Feng Shui. I spend most of my time fixing up my old house and decorating by finding unique items and art in interesting places.

I am a poet and a deep thinker. I enjoy having good conversations with people. I love to go treasure hunting in quaint out of the way places. And, I enjoy going down to the water from time to time.

(Had Leukemia last winter and lost my hair! Grew back as curly, salt and pepper.)

the tide rushes in
and covers my face
oh, the cool salty water
refreshes and wakens
every facet of my body
and I drift into deep sleep
and I drift into deep sleep

fully awake I sleep
rocking rhythmically
in Mother Ocean's arms
the water seeps in
and cleanses my mind
of all past journeys
cleansing, brain washing

spinning my life before me
draining my life away
I am free
in an endless sea
no longer to be
just you and me
