***First off, I am not on here for an "internet relationship". If that is what you want, or if you're on here for a popularity contest with your friends, then don't waste my time. Call me old fashioned, but I would prefer to actually meet in person at some point. And although I am in no hurry to jump into anything, I see no point in talking by email or chatting for 3 or 4 months before meeting in person. You can only learn so much about one another by email until you come to a "stand still". If you have no intentions on meeting someone from here, then definitely do NOT waste my time....

I do consider myself to have a pretty good sense of humor (bet you wouldn't have guessed that, huh?). A combination of corny/goofy and a little twisted.

I consider myself to be somewhat intelligent. I am no NASA rocket scientist, but I do know a lot of of useless knowledge. A library of it, if you will....

I am pretty big into my music, which is rock and metal. (that is where some of my useless knowledge exists) I do still love the 80s "hair bands", still like the classics, hated the 90s alternative rock with a few exceptions, and I like a few of the new rock bands. I have recently within the past 3 years gotten into the European power metal, which is just awesome!! It's a lot like the 80s bands in a way (you know, people that can actually sing and not growl, and instrumentalists that can actually play their instruments), but they add a lot of keyboards and orchestral sounds to it. Very cool. However, I do NOT care for R&B, pop music, and I especially hate rap (or as I call it, crap). I do like some other genres of music, though, like old Motown music, beach music, and a little country.

I do love watching movies (more useless knowledge). Action and horror are usually my favorites, but I can really watch anything. I love going to the theatres, especially the drive-in. But I usually like to just kick back at home and watch a few DVDs....

I am a pretty big history buff. I have always been intrigued with history, especially the Revolutionary and Civil War eras. I love traveling to historic sites and cities. I am a member of the SCV (Sons of Confederate Veterans), and looking to join the SAR (Sons of the American Revolution.

I do love my sports. I like football (college and pro), baseball, and college basketball. I am not too much into the "professional wrestling on wheels", better known as nascar. I used to be a big fan, but not so much anymore....

I do like doing a variety of outdoor activities, like camping, tubing, white water rafting, going to amusement parks, playing paintball, playing softball, snow skiing, riding go-carts, etc.... However, I do not enjoy fishing or hunting. Fishing is so boring.... might as well watch paint dry. And hunting, if you're doing it for the sport, is cruel and not that big of a challenge when you are the only one with the gun. If you're doing it for survival purposes, that I can understand.


A few more things about me....
Please pay attention to what I have chosen for my religion. I am non-religious, which means I am NOT Christian. I am not any religion, for that matter. This does not mean I am Atheist. It means what I say, that I am non-religious. This means that you cannot talk me into attending church or revivals or anything like that. I hope all the bible thumping hypocrits out there are reading this and respect my beliefs as you want so many to do for you. Hey, I do respect others beliefs, and I don't push my views on anyone else. All I ask is for the same in return.

Also, please note that I do still smoke. Although I have tried quitting and still have plans to, I do still smoke. And I do drink occasionally. I don't have any problems with drinking, nor do I do it on a regular basis. But I do enjoy drinking sometimes on the weekends.

I also do have my preferences on what type of woman I like, as anyone does. If you are not my type, then realize it's nothing personal. I am not shallow. I just know what I want.

What I am looking for in someone? I just want to find someone that accepts me for who I am, and not for what I am or what I have, or lack there of. I want to find someone that doesn't worry about petty materialistic things, such as what people wear, what they drive, how big their house is, how much income they make, what their accent sounds like (yes, I have a southern accent), etc.... I want to find someone that is actually interested in finding their soulmate. :)

Well, that's about it. I do hope no one looks at this as a negative thing, and sees that I am just trying to narrow things down and help you as well as myself find what I am looking for....
