Well the plain and simple is that I want to meet a nice guy who wants to date. I have so many exciting ideas for places we could travel to and things we could do together. Most importantly I need someone to hug, laugh and cry with and eventually wake up to. I’ve dated a few guys but am still relatively new to this.

As for some of my interests, I really enjoy the outdoors, be it skiing, canoeing, hiking or camping. To me nothing is more enjoyable then fishing from a canoe on a calm day in the summer. And if there is a beer or two in the canoe, all the better! I’m not a raging alcoholic but I do enjoy beer and the occasional vodka. I don’t smoke, but some of my friends do. We have a band together and I’m the drummer.

Beyond outdoors pursuits I also enjoy soccer, making a fool of myself playing tennis, Frisbee, having huge crashes on the hill skiing and falling off the wall while rock climbing. I’m always game to try new things so hopefully you have some neat hobbies or sports of your own!

My musical tastes are quite varied, usually I listen to sonic on the radio for modern rock but I also enjoy heavier rock music, jazz, a bit of country and the occasional classical piece. I guess it comes from having a piano teacher mother, farmers as cousins and friends who want to be rock stars.

As for my job, I work two weeks in, two weeks out way up in the frozen north. So I’m not around all the time but when I am I can spend lots of time with people (after sleeping in, of course).

I’m usually quite confident but like most of us, I do have my times when I’m down and a little depressed. But the best cure for that is to meet someone you can spend time with. Or possibly watch a Leslie Nielsen movie…

Family and friends is very important to me, usually we’ll have a family meal once a week. My dad is likely still disappointed in my ‘choice’ but he doesn’t show it. In the summer my friends and I will go camping together and in the winter on ski trips. Apart from my co-workers everyone knows I’m gay and my family and friends are completely cool with it.

I want to meet someone that can brighten my day just by knowing they’re there. More importantly I want to be there for someone when they need cheering up. I can be affectionate but often have trouble expressing my emotions. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like you. So send me a message and we’ll chat! I won’t bite.
