I am not entirely certain what I am looking for right now. I recently got dumped by a girl I had been dating for almost 6 years for no explanation she just moved out of the relative's home she had been staying with and changed her phone number, the day after making a commitment to me about our relationship. Really sucks. Figure the best way to get over her is to find someone better, could that be you? Preferably would like to find a woman that I would want to be around for something other than just sex.

I am a guy who wanders around a lot. My business takes me all over Illinois and to neighbouring states every weekend. I sell collectibles, mostly comic books at conventions. I have lots of free time during the week, and if I know about things way enough in advance (like months) I can often plan where I am going for the weekend or jsut take one off. I am also an author. I wrote one book on SF TV. I need to get an updated version of it out since the first edition has sold for over $300 on eBay (alas I have no more to sell). I like traveling but for the past few years it has been confined to the midwest US. I used to spend about half of the winter in Florida (one week there then one week here made for lots of miles on the car) also spent a fortnight each year in the UK- I am a big anglophile.

I find it hard to admit but actually at the point where the idea of having a wife and getting a kid does not frieghten me to death as it once did. Although I want them to be mine since I am a firm believer that kids should have both of thier parents around.

I currently own my own home out in the boonies- I am originally from Peoria. I have 2 cars a 72 Mustang convertible and a 75 Bricklin (looks a lot like the car from Back to the Future-only its plastic). They are old enough that I can actually do work on them. I also have a newer van used for my business. The Mustang has spent the last month or so in the body shop after a Fed Ex semi backed into it (slow speed and only my car and the driver's career were damaged.
