Native born BAY AREA girl. Born in San Francisco raised in South San Francisco. I'm just an all-around happy person who enjoys life! I'm a thick & shapely size 14 woman. Not a skinny girl, but not fat either - shapely (waist IS smaller than my hips). I've got really nice legs and an awesome butt! My passion is dancing. I take classes (Bellydance, Urban-Contemporary/Hip-hop and Brazilian)weekly. If you've ever checked out the San Francisco Carnaval Parade you may have seen me with my contingent, Marareggae. I've danced in Carnaval since 1996 and don't plan to stop anytime soon. I'm also really into music and I love to sing. I can sew and am basically a very artistic and creative person. I'm single, never been married and don't have any children and I don't want any (of my own that is) at this point. It's not that I don't love kids - I do. It's just that I feel it's a bit late to be starting a family. I really don't want to be in my 60's when my kid graduates - you know? I've got plenty of nieces & nephews though who come to see me often and I'm cool with that. I love people of all different shades and backgrounds and I particularly love Black Men! Don't ask me why, I just do (and have since I was in junior high school). I do have a day job (I'm not a professional dancer)that basically pays my bills. I'm not ambitious and I have no desire to have a "career". I'm about being happy and doing (as India Arie says) "whatever feels good to my soul" and I don't apologize for it. I’ve been in my share of relationships over the years and I’m at the point where I want to try a different approach. I’ve been trying find and create a “romantic friendship” rather than a “romantic relationship”. My sister and her boyfriend (whom I consider to by my brother-in-law) have been together for 9 years and they have what I consider to be a “romantic friendship”. They’ve been each other’s best friend and they’re always very honest and real with each other. I think that’s why they’ve been together for so long. It’s much easier to be honest and real with your friend than it is to be that way with your lover. Because, when it comes down to it, a TRUE friend will always tell you the truth, even if it hurts. A TRUE friend is someone who is always there for and isn’t afraid to tell you when you’re screwing up. I know it’s not always easy for them, and they’ve had their share of disagreements, but they’ve been quite successful at it, because they’ve always been friends first, lovers second. I want to have something like that. I really love being in love and want to be in love, but I want it to be a comforting friendly kind of love. Passion is great, but it can be exhausting and difficult to maintain for a long period of time. There’s so much drama, expectation and neediness attached to it. I want a love that is relaxed and comforting, like a nice warm bath. I want to have the essence of true friends, mature, easy with each other, natural, with no urgency about the connection, no neediness, no desire to change each other into something else. Of course, when it comes to the physical act of love that’s when things can heat up into that great ball of fiery passion (when it comes to the physical part of love, I’m all about and for passion). I’m not saying that a romantic friendship can’t also have passion. I just think that sex shouldn’t get in the way of what’s really important, the friendship. I’m no longer interested in all kinds of dramas, head trips and romances that other people get caught up in. I desire a higher, more loving quality born of the fullness of experience.
