I am divorced mom whose kids have grown and gone... and now I am on my own for the first time! I am an English teacher and I perform in community theatre.

I am passionate about expressing myself in creative ways such as acting, singing, writing, and dancing. Life is an adventure to be lived to the fullest. I try to teach that to my children and to my students so that they will go out and make the most of who they are and can be!

I'm looking to meet someone to whom I can fully open my heart and share the things that rattle around inside my head as well as listen to what my partner wishes to share. I desire a man that I can TALK to in my old age; one who will be my best friend as well as my lover. But I'd want someone who wants to get out and experience what life has to offer, and not just watch it on a TV screen. Passion is also something that I truly want in a relationship. One more thing...I so would love to find someone to go ballroom dancing with. I took lessons for several years, and I really wish to have a dance partner as well as a life partner.

I recall two amazing teachers throughout my academic career. Iris Stevenson was my middle and high school choir director, and she taught me to have confidence in myself and my talents. Paul Dominick introduced me to the teachings of Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell, both of which have had a tremendous impact upon how I view the world. I have also learned what unconditional love is through my children. I feed my soul at First Unitarian in Rochester.

The most important qualities for me is that my partner be open-minded and non-judgmental. I do not expect him to agree with everything that I say, believe, or do, but I do expect that he shall respect that I am who I am, and I that deserve to have my own opinions. I shall give that same respect to my partner in return.

I am also going to be extremely blunt here: I am NOT looking for casual encounters. If that is what you are looking for, then please look elsewhere. I am worth much more than a one night stand.
