Well, here I am, 2 1/2 years widowed and 65 years young... single and hoping to attract someone maybe with the same scenerio, or at least someone who can relate to a long and decent marriage ending in tragedy. You get through it, but maybe never quite 'over' it. I just know that I don't plan on spending the rest of my life crying over something that I cannot change, and I'm sure that my late husband wouldn't choose that for me anyway. He wanted me to at least go out and have fun, and that's what I'd really like to do. I just haven't found someone with the same values, morals, ethics and interests as I enjoy, and who is willing to share both ways. I know you're out there... I'm more than willing to try new things that interest you.

I have learned to enjoy my privacy, although sharing my home with some rescued animals doesn't leave much room for privacy. At least they don't care what you look like naked! That doesn't mean that I wouldn't like to share time with someone... much the opposite. I expect that you will enjoy private time, too.

I will repeat that I'm still a very independent lady, make my own decisions, run my own really small business, but am more than willing to try new things... again... as long as they don't involve climbing to or jumping off of high places.

My life doesn't allow for games of any sort... I'm honest, trustworthy, pretty laid back most of the time, mature but not 'old' by any means. My friends still can't believe my age. I know how to live in a relationship and be really happy. I don't believe in anyone being the 'boss' or being the only decision-maker. I have learned to share and I hope that you have, too. Mostly I just believe that two people who become good friends and who really do like each other, never treat each other badly. Time is too precious to spend in any kind of unneccessary negative environment.

Even though I'm usually in jeans and t-shirts, I do enjoy dressing up for a nice dinner out or other special occassion. Know that I promise never to embarrass you intentionally. I wil warn you, however, that I do have a sense of humor and use it appropriately.
