In February and April of this year I made some serious changes in my life. Most important, I finally understand the value of good health and the commitment it takes to eat right, get fit, and stay that way. I have lost 52 pounds since April 5 (yes, April 5th.) I just did Pilates for the first time and can only laugh at what the ladies around me thought of the groaning sounds coming from my mat. That is hard stuff.

I believe I finally understand what it takes to build a healthy relationship and have come to understand the importance of getting to know someone before you make any commitments. Loss and renewal have a way of making one appreciate the importance of paying attention, knowing what makes your partner tick and what makes them happy. I am working hard on these important character traits with each passing day. I am looking for a long-term relationship and not afraid of saying so.
