Wow...how did THAT happen? I woke up recently and I am 40! That is not a bad thing though. I read recently that 40 is the new 30..I agree with that.

My life is just begininng to be really fun...and I would love to share the journey with someone special. I moved here from Virginia Beach, where I had lived for the previous 2 years.Prior to that, I lived in San Diego, CA for 15 years. I was raised to be a Southern Gentleman in AL and TN. I have been fortunate enough to have visited a large portion of Central America, parts of South America and several countries along the Pacific Rim. I still have a lot of places I wish to explore (Australia, Europe...anyone???) Southern California was an excellent place to find my true eclectic self.

My build is stocky/heavyset...I usually get the Teddy Bear comparision. You know the story...played football "back in the day" and 13 years of marriage put some padding around the middle. There is still a very solid core here, just need to get the spare tire gone !!! I am still relatively active in playing softball, hiking and walking...just someone PLEASE close the Burger King Drive-Thru when you see me coming !!! The sad part about that is that I LOVE to cook and I am very good at it (I am told...does mac & cheese count? Just kidding!)

If you took a peek at the 200 cd's I am carrying in my car alone right now you would find AC/DC, Nina Simone, John Hiatt, Bob Dylan, Alabama, Alicia Keys, Hall & Oates, Jimmy Lafave (Thanks Gaye!!) David Gray, Van Morrison, Jill Scott, Macy Gray, Ella Fitzgerald, Living Colour, Guns & Roses and almost anything in between...

I also love movies and reading books..as usual, I have 2 going right now.
