About tuktut
Interests: Spirit-filled believer committed to faith and “seeking first the Kingdom of God”, music (writing, listening, performing) reading, writing (fiction, sci-fi, poetry, technical), intercession, worship, dance, Bible study, Christian faith, fellowship, flags, travel, research, cryptography, astronomy, sewing, design, textiles, costumes, vestments, & garb, canning & food preservation, caning & primitive arts, foraging (edible wild plants), camping, hiking, canoeing, archery, Girl Scouts (Life-Time Member, “First Class” which was highest award and Eagle-equivalent at the time, DGB, which is Vigil equivalent), SCA, Arts & Sciences, History & re-enactments, science fiction, LARP, RPG, IT, Web Page design, theatre, improv, humour, learning vocabulary words, Latin (will teach non-credit Latin classes at my school), science, biology (currently the lab assistant, tutor & supplemental instructor), chemistry, physics, anthropology, especially First Nations peoples, meeting people & learning new things. BTW, you guys spelled "separated"wrong.
Hi folks. Best wishes in finding what you seek. I’m committed to my faith in Jesus and that influences all the other aspects of my life.
I love to travel, mostly west of Ohio and north of 40, working my way through the 67 counties of PA & keeping a journal & photos. I camp as often as I can, but my Girl Scouts claim I’ll walk five miles for a hot shower. I love sci-fi, science, reading, writing, vocabulary words, Latin, and experimenting with new things. I’m in the pre-clinical part of the nursing program at my school, but my prof seems to think that I should come back with my Master’s and teach bio, so he can retire with me as his successor. As this scenario seems well-received by most of the staff and the division chair, I am giving it serious consideration.
Currently, I work for the Commonwealth of PA, do home-health-care as a CNA at night and weekends, and fill the rest of the time with school, serving as the bio lab assistant, tutor, and supplemental instructor. In my free time, (ha ha) I write, hike, watch a little hockey, putter in the garden, sew and design, and try to stay active in my local SCA groups. We have four or five shires rather close, and it is a pleasure to visit with all of them. My local group hosted Crown Tournament a few years back, and I was awarded my AoA for my help with that event, as well as for filling in as Arts & Sciences Minister for a season.
Humour and the joy of the unexpected are important to me. Yes, I still laugh at the same Python routines I heard 30 years ago. I love to play jokes of people, if it is somehow encouraging, edifying, and not demeaning. For example, when my history prof turned 60, I was the instigator who filled his office with balloons.
No pressure or time schedule here-friendship first is essential to me. Feel free to just chat or yak; no age limit on that. I am looking for mate at some point, but he must be a believer, and at least intellectually equal to me. Everything after that is negotiable.
If you read this far, be reassured that I am NOT “religious”, just serious about my faith.
Have fun. Gotta get back to my homework now.
