Who am I? My friends would say that I am a kind and compassionate person. I am a good listener and like to help people through their problems or just vent their frustrations to me. I am dependable and always try to make myself available to friends in need. I like to have a good time with my friends and can generally bring a smile to their faces. In new environments, I can be shy at first, but will generally warm up to the occassion. I sometimes need a push to get moving, but once I am moving there is no stopping me. I might best be described as an introvert with extrovert tendencies. In the end, as one of my favorite comedians likes to say, "I don't fail...I succeed at finding out what doesn't work."

To me a lasting relationship is a true friendship that can weather the good and the bad times. The relationship stands the test of time and grows over time.

I started teaching several years ago and I strive to be the best teacher possible. I am not just a teacher, I am a mentor to each student. It is my responsibility to give them not just the academic skills but also the behavioral and social skills they need in adulthood. I currently teach a 4th/5th grade special day class for students with mild to moderate disabilities and I love every minute of it. It can be difficult but the rewards are amazing. To see a child move from constantly seeking help without trying to starting and finishing an assignment with no assistance is truly amazing.

On weekends, I find myself reading a book, playing a game, or watching a movie at home. I might also decide to go for a hike in a nearby park. I love going into used bookstores and other bookstores. I also enjoy occasionally going to a local coffee shop, getting a good cup of tea, and read a book for a few hours. Whenever I get the chance I love to spend time with family and friends.
