Don’t let my age scare you away; if you didn’t know it beforehand, you’d never guess it based solely on appearances! As a semi-professional part-time athlete, I routinely compete against much younger athletes and win my fair share. Although I enjoy quiet intimate and re-cooperative times, don’t mistake me for a 40-something couch-potato. I lead a healthy active lifestyle so that I can participate in high energy activities for many years to come.

I’m an educated and normally busy Entrepreneur with no time for dating games. I don’t like the bar dating scene and I’m not a slave to popular trends. I really like the home I own, so there’s always some project(s) ongoing. Living on a lake means that there’s always something fun to do right here.

I enjoy sharing a wide variety of activities. Primarily, I like adrenaline sports such as skydiving and board sports such as water & snow skiing. I like to jet-ski, work out, or just watch my two small dogs play. I’m an avid Miami Dolphins fan, and really enjoy watching pro football.

One of my favorite mottos is that “life is too short to drink cheap beer.” I enjoy both fine wines and good beer. I like to have quiet dinners either at home or out at one of the multitudes of local restaurants. The theme parks and many tourist attractions are near, and they can be a fun way to spend time. I also like to take in a concert, comedy club, or go out on the town for a night of dancing or socializing with friends. With the attractions & International Drive being only a short commute, the numerous and varied restaurants provide many options as well.

I like to travel. I was a Navy brat growing up, so although I was raised primarily in the south, I lived in many states. As an adult I served in the Navy for a full career and have traveled all over the planet. I’ve stayed in Japan and the Philippines for extended periods of time, and I lived in southern Italy for a few years. I’ve also taken time to see some of Australia, Thailand, Chile, Singapore, Hong Kong (pre-reversion), and a lot of Europe. Recently, I’ve taken a cruise in the Caribbean, and would like to explore more with the right travel partner.

I’m looking to spend time with someone special. I do not believe that one size fits all, so our dates would depend on where our interests and tastes intersected. I would like our first dates to be on the lighter side to get to know each other and see if there is any real chemistry to build on. I am open to new experiences.

My ideal relationship would be monogamous and one where we are best friends that support each other. If after getting to know each other, however, we determined that our relationship isn’t “the one,” I’d still appreciate adding you to my circle of friends.

I’m looking for someone whose life I can compliment, not dominate. She needs to be health conscious, but not obsessed, and the more active and athletic the better.
