I've realized that as online users become more savvy, their profiles and especially their photos become better at hiding flaws that truely representthe subject. Now, rampant dishonesty about everything from secret wives to extra birthday candles has created an online society where honesty is almost forbidden and then punished with isolation. Everyone knows now that if you want to meet someone or have someone respond to your advert, you almost have to lie. The paradox in the game is that once a response is engaged, that person now has the monumental task of being someone you really aren't.
