About PeggyOC
Native of Michigan, relocated to Seattle area in July! Taking a big step like this is scary and thrilling at the same time. Looking forward to lots of exciting work and play in my new hometown. Don't mind being alone and exploring in my new city...just think it will be more fun with a tour guide!
My perfect match would be one who understands that a sense of humor is just as important as food, water, sleep and sex. He would not sweat the small stuff...or think that stress is a way of life...or play games. He would be honest to a fault (yes, dear, you DO look fat in that outfit, but I love you anyway!). He would enjoy my company, be a good listener, make me feel comfortable and understand that yes, some very sexy women really DO understand the option play in football and know who won the 1979 World Series. He would call me for no reason other than to see how my day is going and to say "I love you" and not "what's for dinner?" A sense of humor is an absolute must...if you can't laugh at life (especially at yourself), then what's the point?
In my own wordsfor fun:
Full time writing career; enjoy community service, kids' activities. Love pro sports. I'm up for movies, museums, hiking and biking, long weekends, golf or tennis (I am lousy at both!), restaurants...just fun!
my job:
I am a creative writer...but it doesn't pay much! So, I work as a director of marketing/public relations in the field of education. That's fun, too, and helps me pay the bills.
my ethnicity:
100 percent Irish...with the stories to prove it!
my religion:
Open to all religions...loved taking comparative religions courses in college. Church-goer when the spirit moves.
my education:
Some graduate studies in creative writing...more to come, I guess.
favorite hot spots:
We'd have fun anyplace...but I think spending a winter day in a lodge or cabin, hiking through the snow, snuggling by the fire and enjoying a bottle of wine and great conversation and ? would be delightful.
favorite things:
Writing. Reading. Sports. My favorite color is blue...but I am partial to maroon. I hate shopping when I have to buy something...love it just to stroll around and look. TV shows? Reality (as in the shows) bites...like Family Guy, House, news channels
last read:
I am a voracious reader. I will read the back of the Honey Nut Cheerios box if there is nothing else at hand. Home magazines, U.S. News and World Report, John Updike, Jon Stewart's "America" and "To Kill a Mockingbird" are some of my favorites.
