About me . . . I guess I could give the normal platitudes that are often found in profiles or I could express the real me. Considering the goal of this endeavor, I figure that expressing the real me would be more beneficial, not to mention more efficient. So here it goes. I just want to give the disclaimer that I am not bragging. I’m just trying to give a more accurate depiction of who I am.

Fundamentally, my core personality revolves around the fact that I’m very intelligent. This has effected my personality in several ways. I have been known to be very “confident” about my abilities. I have a healthy disrespect for authority, which is ironic considering my profession. I am very curious. I can have a short attention span and require a lot of new stimulation. I’ve satisfied that need to some extent with traveling and various hobbies, but want to do more. I am very competitive. I like intense discussions and will often drag unwitting and often unwilling opponents into them. I am driven, successful, and socially adept. I have an intense interest in the search for truth in all its aspects.

Despite all of that, I enjoy life and having fun is definitely high on my priority list. My sense of humor, in addition to the norm, can be strange, complex and incomprehensible except to myself. My friends are fantastic and capable of similar levels of discourse, not to mention having similar interests. I am also very close to my family, although they all live out of state. However, the only influence they have on my decisions/activities is to give advice on important issues (which is typically ignored to my own detriment).

Other things about me - I rode dirt bikes as a kid, I now ride motorcycles. I used to race cars. I plan on returning to that hobby sooner rather than later. I can be aggressive and single minded in my pursuit of something. I’m good at sports; more out of sheer competitiveness rather than any real ability. I played football, golf and ran track in high school. I took martial arts. I attempt to play guitar. I try to stay in shape even now. I swim a lot when it’s warm out and run when it isn’t.

Now, what I’m looking for in a girl - intelligence is most important. I am looking for an equal. Someone that could keep up and challenge me. I like girls that are willing to argue with me and, maybe, even win on occasion. (I do admit when I'm wrong, it just may take a little while for me to do so). Someone complex and interesting. I’m not sure what that entails, but I’m sure I’ll know it when I see it. A girl that can enjoy life to the fullest, someone fun who enjoys laughing.
