I am a simple person with a simple outlook on life: I treat others as I would like to be treated. It is one code I live by religiously and it has paid off many times.

That is the reason I try to be very real and honest about myself and who I think I am on a daily basis. I have learned through painful experience that people, for the most part, really have no idea how they are perceived by others.

I am easy going, but have a big personality. Being of French Creole descent (Cajun), there is no way to avoid being very outgoing and friendly, and that has its advantages and its disadvantages. But I embrace who I am and the friends that I have do the same. They see me for the unique individual that I am and love me all the more for it.

I have 3 tattoos, but all are very feminine and all pay tribute to my grandchildren. My nose is pierced and has been for years. I tend to think outside the box (whatever the "box" is supposed to be) and am one of the least judgmental people you will ever meet.

I was married for almost 18 years and had a very amicable divorce almost 9 years ago. I have 2 grown kids and 3 little grandchildren, with one more on the way. I recently relocated from Tampa, Fl to Dallas, Ga, a suburb of Atlanta. I lived here a long time ago, and it is good to come "home".

I am looking for someone who is really searching for someone to enrich their happiness and who does not need to date several people at once to feel fulfilled. I am not a jealous person, but like most people, I tend to like to keep what is mine to myself.....

I have learned that people rarely ever want someone to be honest, though they may say they do. It is an instinctive thing to want to pretend that everything is great, even when it isn't and I totally get that. But I don't live by it. There is too much at stake when it comes to friendships and/or relationships for that creed to take you very far.

I have a favorite saying penned by the great Erma Bombeck (yes, that shows my age, I know):
"If the grass is always greener on the other side, there is probably a septic tank buried there."

I tend to live by that creed, since it also goes right along with the one that says: "If it looks too good to be true, it usually is."

Though that might make me sound jaded, I'm actually a very optimistic realist (Is that an oxymoron?)......I do hope to make some friends, at least, in this venture I have undertaken. Only time will tell and so we will see......
