<rant> I love big family get-togethers with chicken and hamburgers on the barbecue and dogs and children underfoot and siblings and cousins talking and laughing and relating anecdotes and grandma knitting in a rocking chair and grandpa snoring on the couch with his uppers falling out. (The grandma/grandpa part of that is strictly poetic license and I’m sure they will forgive me for it.:) And I love small get-togethers of close friends, with fine wine, good food, and fun, stimulating conversation. And I like going out with the boys to howl at the moon. And I like staying in bed to cuddle and watch movies on Sunday morning before getting up and having waffles for brunch. And I like spiders and lizards, but I will mercilessly attack roaches and mosquitoes whenever possible. And I respect snakes and yellow-jackets. And I love kittens and song birds and Birds of Prey and Big Cats. And I don’t care about politics. And I think butterflies are some of the most wondrous creatures on the planet. And I try to sympathize with ignorance but I despise conceit. And I admire anyone who can create something aesthetic of any form. And I envy people who are smarter than me. And I don’t like the cold. And I like hot chocolate when I do get cold. And I like daisies and roses and begonias. And I think that man is basically good. (Hmmm…that almost came out with only one “o”.) And like cuddling at that ubiquitous time where women usually complain that men just want to fall asleep. And I hate automated voice systems. And I like Cabernets and Chardonnays.

I have a very deep love of music of all types, some more than others, but it really depends on the mood and circumstances. I like to sing and I play a little guitar and dabble on the piano and I've composed some music.

My ideal woman: In three words - intelligent, affectionate and easy-going.
An interest in the arts, especially all types of music, is fairly important. A singer and/or musician would be a huge plus, but not necessary. An appreciation of nature is pretty important. A "cat person" is a plus.
