Time to overhaul my profile. I want it to acurately depict the person I am and what I'd like to find here. I find dating in my fourties much less pleasant than it was in my twenties and I didn't like it much then either. It was much easier to meet people and make friends back then. At work, at school, at parties and clubs, having a social life was easy. Now, I'm a single mom, I work from my home office and have moved to a new city half way across the country. I've joined some meet up groups but my work schedule keeps me from being able to commit to most activities so I find myself here.

I like to stay active, trying something new and exciting always appeals to me. I love live music, especially outdoor concerts. Once my kids are grown (in a couple years) I'd like to devote more time to helping those who are less fortunate. I'm cheerful, intelligent, responsible, funny, creative and talented. However I'm also emotional, edgy at times and forgetful. Oh and I tend to procrastinate on tasks I feel are unpleasant. My housekeeping habits are very unpredictable. One day you may show up and the house is immaculate, another day it may look like a tornado just blew through. I guess if I were reading this I may think "this person seems a little manic". But rest assured I'm very even tempered and pride myself that I've reached this age and have never needed any mood stabilizing drugs:)

I guess I'm looking for a partner who enjoys the same things I do and most importantly wants to work on being the best person they can be. Someone who believes that supporting each other in this quest is what will bring true fulfillment to our lives.
