Hi, my name is Eric.., and I'm a hard working, down-to-earth Christian man.., searching for a "rest of my life - loving and caring relationship". Wow !.., was that actually a man (and by NO means a "girly-man") who just said that ?! ;-)

But.., before reading any further.., maybe take the time to read the very last line of this profile first.., as I believe it will help put the rest of my profile.., let's say.., in perspective ...

I'm a self-employed electronics technician, with a home based "one man show" business, and a self-taught jack of all trades.., who's also pretty handy when just about anything breaks-down. Such talents.., I believe.., are quite essential (especially in light of "today's world economy) to be an asset to the creation of a safe AND secure home-life and family.., don't ya think ?!

I'm also an independent thinker and "truth junky".., who most of the time "wears his heart on his sleeve". I believe that honesty and truth are the best policy, even if it disagrees with someone else's pre-conceived ideas.., though I always do my best to be understanding and kind of other people's feelings...

What's my ability for responsibility.., you may ask? Well.., I own my own home, on a small, but beautiful piece of forested land. In other words.., debt free and financially stable !!

I was going to title my profile with saying, "If you're searching for a genuine and caring MAN, who's also responsible AND fun.., then search no further!". But of course.., it was much too long to fit into the allotted space :-( So.., I then decided to pose the real question, I've been asking all these many years. Mainly.., if there are any women out there, that not only can "talk the talk".., but also can "walk the walk" (for more than just the first couple of months or so...) And yes.., I'm painfully aware.., that it's usually the men out there.., that are guilty of not living up to that statement... But believe me.., it also does happen the other way around as well :-(

But.., as it has also been said.., that "life & hope springs eternal" !! And I have always done my best NOT to "carry the baggage" of past relationships. I'm a very trusting, caring and helpful type of man.., and will always be (I believe it to be part of my DNA.., so to say...) But at the same time, I've always done my best to continually raise my over-all standards (both spiritual AND secular).., and to limit how far I'll let someone (man or woman) try to influence me in a downward direction towards a "hedonistic" level !! BUT.., with that being said.., believe me.., I also know quite well how to have some "fun time" !!! :-)

Well, if you've read my profile (or should I say Mini-Novel) so far.., maybe you'll continue to read on to understand a bit more about me...

I'm in search of a woman who has at least most of the same values and priorities in life. Someone with whom I could make a "good connection" with, and is also a "good communicator" (as I can be a bit talkative at times ! :-) A woman who has an open mind (on a number of subjects), and has a loving and caring heart. It would also be GREAT.., to find a woman who is willing to "hear out" an opposing viewpoint without first resorting to name calling or labels. All of this and more.., so that someday, the effort that the two of us would be willing to put into a loving relationship would "pay off".., and Lord willing.., a "happy and healthy family", (it would be GREAT to have a child), or at least if not that.., to have a loving companion.., that's at least somewhat.., on the same "wave-length" !!

Now.., there are a number of things that are important to me in my life, and some of them would be... understanding people and life in general, staying healthy, and yes.., I confess, I'm sort of one of those "health food nuts".., but certainly not a "purist".., and still haven't lost my taste for some occasional "junk food" :-) I like to "be there" for family and friends, to make my daily work fun and not a drudgery. To make sure that my free time is filled with either useful or FUN activities, and to make the best of an "independent, country life style" (though I do only live 5 miles from town! :-) And most importantly, to find that special woman to be my "best friend and confidant"..., and to "travel the road of life" together... in a harmonious and non-confrontational way...

How do I like to spend my free time ?? Well.., I enjoy just about anything, like bicycle riding, camping, weekend (or weekday!) trips, motorcycling (a Harley, of course !) working on, building, and repairing things around the house, or to just sit down with a good book (history, health, DIY, and even the Bible!), in front of a warm fire (in winter) or a shaded porch (in summer)... but it would be FAR better to do those things with that "special someone" of course! It would also be GREAT to take a cross-country trip someday to see the sights that "The Great West" of this GREAT country has to offer !! Maybe even to visit my cousins in south-western Germany... Sprechen Sie Deutsch?.. or maybe you'd like to also learn? ;-)

Well then..., if most of what you've read here, sounds interesting to you, then just let me know, and if I believe that we might be "harmoniously compatible", I'll certainly take the time and effort to answer you.

As it is well written, "where a man (or woman) puts their treasure (meaning their time, money and effort) that's also, where their heart is". Meaning.., "actions speak LOUDER than words" !!!
