For the most part, I grew up in Imperial Beach and graduated with about every darned honor there is. I went to college (UCSD) and got my bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies (emphasis in Latin & Ancient Greek), a minor in Humanities (emphasis 18th century Philosophy), and an area of focus in Historical Political Theory. I had grand plans to further my education, get my PhD in Classics and teach as a lecturer in colleges. However, soon the Ivory Tower ambiance and the politics of the university got to me and I decided Classics didn’t need to be my future. Right now I’m laying-low working as a Librarian Assistant and, actually, I love my job. It sounds boring, but the people I work with are great and they make up for any redundancies. Not to mention CUSHY-JOB in our Bush-enforced recession.
