Update 11/08/09 - Looking for new friends and keeping up with the many I have made here!
Hi! My name is Myra and I want to first say thank you for checking out my profile. I have been separated for 18 months and my divorce will be finalized soon. I have one child, work hard and am looking for new friends.
So that you don't get scared away - please let me tell you first what I am NOT: I am not looking for a husband to support me or to be a father for my child, nor am I looking for someone to provide me with a bank account. I am not into drugs, including psychotropic drugs...lol, drink in excess nor do I like to play head games. I have enough drama at work - so I don't need any at home. I am active in my church and community. I am looking for someone out here who may be going through or in the same situation. I would like to meet someone easy going who shares the same beliefs as I do: family, friends, peace, laughter, physical contact and just enjoying the little things.
I believe in the old adage: "first & for most, always be a lady". With that being said, I also believe in being a woman. I am looking for that special man who can walk into a room and just by looking into his eyes, I know what he is thinking, what he is feeling and what he needs. By looking back into my eyes, he knows that everything is going to be alright because I am here.

Fight Like A Girl - BomShell
Little girl alone on the playground
Tired of gettin' teased and gettin' pushed around
Wishin' she was invisible
To them
She ran home cryin'
"Why do they hate me?"
And Mama wiped the tears and said
"Baby, you're brave and you're beautiful.
So, hold your head high.
Don't ever let 'em define
The light in your eyes.
Love yourself, give them Hell.
You can take on this world.
You just stand and be strong
And then fight
Like a girl."
At 31 she was wheelin' and dealin'
Kept on hittin' that same glass ceilin'
She was never gonna be one of the boys, no
She coulda gave up on her ambition
And spent the rest of her life just wishin'
Instead she listened to her mama's voice sayin'
"Hold your head high.
Don't ever let 'em define
The light in your eyes.
Love yourself, give them Hell.
You can take on this world.
You just stand and be strong
And then fight
Like a girl."
Oh, with style and grace
Kick ass and take names
Ten years of climbin' that ladder
Oh, but money and power don't matter
When the doctor said "the cancer spread"
She holds on tight to her husband and babies
And says "this is just another test God gave me.
And I know just how to handle this"
I'll hold my head high
I'll never let this define
The light in my eyes
Love myself, give it Hell
I'll take on this world
If I stand and be strong
No, I'll never give up
I will conquer with love
And I'll fight
Like a girl

Gotta B Somebody - Nickleback
This time, I wonder what it feels like
To find the one in this life, the one we all dream of
But dreams just aren't enough
So I'll be waiting for the real thing, I'll know it by the feeling
The moment when we're meeting, will play out like a scene
Straight off the silver screen
So I'll be holding my own breath, right up 'til the end
Until that moment when, I find the one that I'll spend forever with
Cause nobody wants to be the last one there
Cause everyone wants to feel like someone cares
Someone to love with my life in their hands
There's Gotta Be Somebody for me like that
Cause nobody wants to do it all on their own
And everyone wants to know they're not alone
There's somebody else that feels the same somewhere
There's gotta be somebody for me out there
Tonight, out on the street, out in the moonlight
And dammit this feels too right, it's just like deja vu
Me standing here with you
So I'll be holding my own breath, could this be the end
Is it that moment when, I find the one that I'll spend forever with
Cause nobody wants to be the last one there
Cause everyone wants to feel like someone cares
Someone to love with my life in their hands
There's gotta be somebody for me like that
Cause nobody wants to do it all on their own
And everyone wants to know they're not alone
There's somebody else that feels the same somewhere
There's gotta be somebody for me out there
You can't give up, looking for a diamond in the rough
You never know, when it shows up, make sure you're holding on
Cause it could be the one, the one you're waiting on
Cause nobody wants to be the last one there
And everyone wants to feel like someone cares
Someone to love with my life in their hands
There's gotta be somebody for me, oh
Nobody wants to do it all on their own
And everyone wants to know the night alone
There's somebody else that feels the same somewhere
There's gotta be somebody for me out there
Nobody wants to be the last one there
Cause everyone wants to feel like someone cares
There's somebody else that feels the same somewhere
There's gotta be somebody for me out there

What I'd Give - Sugarland
What I'd give to bring you flowers.
What I'd give to get you alone.
What I'd give to bring a smile across your face.
What I'd give to take you home.
What I'd give to make you coffee.
Find out how you like your eggs.
Wrapped around you in the mornin'.
A tangled lace of arms and legs.
(Chorus)
What I'd give to let you love me.
Find out everything that brings you joy.
Wake up to your face above me.
I'd be that girl and you could be that boy.
Find out why that feelin' is...
Oh, what I'd give. What I'd give.
What I'd give to take you dancin'.
What I'd give to make you mine.
If you got questions, I got answers.
And my answer's "yes" to you every time.
What I'd give for just one minute.
What I'd give to count all the ways
If your heart was dark with nothing in it.
I'd give you mine and take your place.
(Chorus)
What I'd give to let you love me.
Find out everything that brings you joy.
Wake up to your face above me.
I'd be that girl and you could be that boy.

Just stopping by to show ya some love, Gurl. Although we haven't seen much of each other lately, let me just say that you're still in my prayers.

Probably one of the most caring persons on here. She goes out of her way all the time to be there for people and to give of herself..
What an amazing woman...and she is a red head... (-:

Friendship.. How to describe it?
It is the fifth, and least important relationship in our species.
First is the relationship between parent and child.
Second is the relationship between spouses.
Third is the relationship between that child,
now grown, and their own child.
Fourth is the relationship between siblings.
Last is the relationship between two people that
have no bloodline or family in common.
It can often be more important to someone than the
realtionship than between siblings.
I am truly honored to call you my friend, Myra.

~A Celestial Friendship~
Upon a yielding soil does this mortal nod
Such a earnest stare to wards heaven,God
Piercing shadows within some still abode
Secrets within of life's cumbersome road
Telescopic eye does witness swirling mass
Harbors secrets well of millennium's past
Inquisitive minds frailly seek some cause
Desperate ventures to understand it's laws
A sphere lies hope of an confessional beam
Gently guiding souls or perhaps to redeem
Footprints measuring one's life weary load
Enriching knowledge to leave one bestowed
With sun burnt shoulders struggling to see
Beyond fabled textbook's of Man's Astronomy
Counsel throughout ages their secrets kept
A well born faithful soul perhaps to accept
Silver lining creeping along with the wind
For beneath lies Man & his fortunes within
No more or less within it's eternal poles
A humanistic tendency to distribute souls
No dire need for sacred vows leaving bind
Whom not for each other did seek nor find
Not given nor taken by some pledge or oath
Steadfast hearts w/purity found them both
My prayer not persuasion I'd discovered thee
Not by a golden garment or upon bended knee
Save them jewels, feasts your pittance savors
Or adornment of ribbons w/ be quested favors
This beautiful deep friendship now public are
Lying entwined 4ever from some celestial star
Though w/ throbbing seas & some quaking earth
There blessed friendship had been given birth
