I'm new in town, completely unattached and own my own place in the Cathedral Park neighborhood of Portland. I'm seeking friendship, companionship, love, dating, or a relationship. My many travels have taught me, among other things, patience and broad mindedness. Therefore, I am in no hurry and certainly open to learning new things; I believe that the best teachers never lose touch with their inner student. I am also compassionate and possess a wicked sense of humor - particularly in regard to my own imperfections. I have to confess that I'm not really interested in "sophisticated" women, unless they're sophisticated between the ears. By this I mean simply that I'm not a martini and Lexis type and I cant see myself escorting some pearls and $5000.00 dress wearing mondaine to posh restaurants and cocktail parties teaming with Rolex yuppies and Armani suit wearing ex-frat boys on the make (future lobbyists, all). I'm very down home and I prefer a woman in t-shirts and jeans. I like dive bars and used bookstores, easy laughter and risque or even inappropriate humor along with intellectual discourse and some literary acumen. Above all, I seek a woman with emotional intelligence. My philosophy regarding human (and other) relationships is: "The willingness to give credit where credit is due and the reluctance to place blame, even where such has been earned, is the surest sign of mental health." I wrote that - heh. So let's just take it as it comes and get to know each other and see what happens. After all, isn't that what life's all about?
