Who doesn’t like wood and balls? Idk about 10 pins tho

LOL, makes me remember my childhood and a part-time job I had at the Elks club setting up "Duck" pins.
I could get crude and say something about a bunch of old drunk guys who found validation in knocking down little wooden pegs with a little wooden ball but there was a few hot chicks working there and frankly, my mind was on them...

I used to bowl both 5 and 10 pins. I was not that good but I enjoyed playing with friends.

Yeah, I like bowling.
I can average about 120-160.
I don't really care about the score tho, its about having fun with my friends.

People are so competitive anymore.
I've played basketball with my friends at night when I was young and we never even kept score. It was about having fun.

Play drunk mud football with me in the 70s and score was the last thing on our minds.

I went bowling with my kid and his friends.
They were all concerned about their scores.
It was all about the strikes.
I guttered a few balls on purpose.
Oh I was pampered.
Then I threw a series of strikes and they felt threatened, lol how the attitudes changed.
I had more fun playing with their egos than the actual bowling.
