Does anyone have an explanation as to why this could be?

Redirects can be for multiple reasons.
Run a spyware scan then do a 'whois' search on the source and the destination.
Redirects on public sites may be a result of hacking or IP address infiltration.
If it only happens at linked in try a different browser or a different computer/phone. If the redirect goes away, the problem is likely on your 'user' end.

Thanks, I just used Norton to scan my computer.

I also cleared cookies on my browser and Linkedin still redirecting.

I don't go to that site.
You might ask someone you know if it is redirecting for them as well.
You might try a different browser.
I know some movie streaming sites redirect in one browser but not the other.
I also have had some luck with redirects by clicking the middle button on the mouse on links.
You could try clicking the link with rt click and open in new tab.
You could try private browsing mode or VPN.

I called the employer today and the job ad was not supposed to be on Linkedin.
Thankks anyways!
