I say "yes" because sometimes we take 2 and 3 steps backward and only one step forward. And that step forward might only be a sliver of the lesson that needs to be learned. Can we fault anyone for not getting it the first time around? I try very hard not to. Everyone learns in their own time and reasoning. Everyone here has wonderful input and thoughts and ideals. I like reading them because they are great learning tools to question my own reasoning. I make so many mistakes it's not funny. I can definately say that I learned from many of them; but I do think the rest of my time on this earth will be spent learning from the rest of them . YES! And simply being a beautiful disaster...rushing towards all these opportunities to learn, to grow to bloom!.... if I stumble, I know I am moving.

yes, I guess older should mean wiser but alas it doesn't always why do u think we repeat mistakes? Because we have to be open to the exquisite gift within the 'mistake'....to understand it with our hearts, not our heads, or egos. If we aren't, then we get 'stuck'....repeating the patterns. The soldiness of you, within you, will recognise the same pattern emerging, and do something different, when you KNOW where you chose wrongly in the past. None of this resides in one's head...the thinking part...it resides in the YOU that you are, and instinctually we move away from pain...labelling, accusing, pointing always at something other than us.. we have to own our part, to stop the repeating....and then forgive ourselves, and others. |
