"I love you" that word is totally mis-represented when applied to emotions/feelings towards another human being, "I love you" is supposed to mean all the dear, gentle, wonderful, powerful feelings a person can feel. "I love you" is often said out of context. So often "I love you" is said by a person who has mentally or physically abused another human being.
The word LOVE should be replaced by the word RESPECT. "I respect you" says more than "I love you", respect covers a large range of human feelings.
