I walked into the crowded room Smoke filled air I think of leaving soon Looking for nothing , but passing my time I sat across from her and I start to pine While we speak my mind is wandering Mutual thoughts and things in common I am so complex that’s what everyone sees Yet only 10 minutes and she understands me I wanted to flirt but barely the nerve Intimidated by beauty couldn’t find the right words As the night passes I feel that I fail This scared little boy has tucked his own tail All I wanted to say is can we talk again soon As I quietly watch her briskly leave the room I beat myself up and tear myself down I mean what would she want with the scared little clown Yet I did get the chance to see her again Courage building a little through the sweat of my hands Connecting so easily Although I’m timid and shy I loosen my guard without asking myself why Is this possible I really must know Second chances at life my dead eyes start to glow My hard heart starts to pound when I think shes around My rough exterior cracks, crumbles to the ground Weak yet larger than life with a touch of her hand With the blink of her eyes I feel like more than a man The soft embrace of her lips leaves me wanting more Intertwined in a hug I float from the floor Waiting impatiently to feel her next to me again Hold her feel her breathe and the touch of her skin Her smile intensity intelligence grace Leave me standing here helpless hopeless amazed I am standing here once beaten broken and bruised Naked vulnerable arms open with nothing to lose For this woman has made this smile from a frown And created a man of this scared little clown……. |

Chip off the ol' block

So I'm getting ready for work this morning. I grab my shoes and go into the den with my 3 year old son close behind. I approach my computer desk and go to sit down and..... ...my son pushes the chair out from underneath me.  As he's standing there looking at me on the ground, I begin to give him a look...you know the look...and I'm feeling pretty angry. But then I suddenly realized that I have indeed taught him well. As I flash him a smile and we both burst into laughter, I feel the pride welling within me. He's only 3 and he's come to appreciate the value of physical comedy....and he has bested the master.  Thats awesome I almost laughed out loud just getting the visual picture.

All I have is one of those cheap sprinklers.HAHA You should have gotten a slip n slide, they are way more fun!!!  Slip and slide? Why didn't I think of that? Headin to the Wal Mart right now! Thanks for the Idea. A bunch of my adult friends got together one evening for dinner and drinks, well of course the drinks took over. After a while someone wanted to cool off in their pool, but it hadn't been cleaned in a while and they said all they had way their kids slip n slide. Well let me tell you 20 drunk adults can make alot of fun with tht slip n slide, now we get together about once a month and let loose

Isn't it sad that in our society a 23 yr old man who chooses celibacy (maybe even til marriage) is seen as the "odd man out" .. that it's looked at as 'weird' or 'strange' I have 3 nephews who all waited until marriage to have relations with their wives. I am very proud of them. My older son is planning on doing the same. He is saving intimacy for the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with. He doesn't want to be in a 'relationship' until he is serious about someone. Your guy sounds like he's got it together, is compassionate and caring. That should never be a negative. I completley agree. It is a rare thing anymore. If I miss even opening a door for a woman, I am waiting for my pops (even though he is gone now)to pop me in the head and tell me to go apologize. Gentleman are a dyin breed anymore!!!  You don't look dead to me  I take a breath every once in a while. Plus the 2nd tuesday of every week. I get let out of my cage to play. Sure does take a long time to get here tho.
