This is a case where free speech was anything but free. The law is probably pretty clear on this, and if the daughter violated the confidentiality agreement that she had signed, then her dad does not have much of a case. There are some other factors as well, involving the social media piece. Was someone in the company monitoring this girl's Facebook page?

Mass shooters, like all bullies, look for victims. When they are faced with opponents instead, bullying isn't so much fun anymore. There's something about the possibility of getting shot that might make prospective mass shooters think twice. Then again, none of them are psychologically stable. . .

Follow the trail of logic in Reid's sound bite:

(1) The multi-billionare brothers (which apparently makes them inherently evil) object to Obamacare and are running ads that contain testimonials from people who have in some way been harmed by Obamacare.

(2) The testimonials must be false because they were funded by ones who are (in Reid's mind) inappropriately wealthy.

Very common logical fallacy of non sequitur. . .

Beautiful expression of heart-wrenching pain. Your last line shows that you're going to pull through this, though!

I always followed one of the most basic audience rules of public speaking: be really, really nice to the speaker, because your turn is coming!

Money and manipulation. Scammers are leeches, but they have to get your cooperation before they can fasten on and start drawing financial blood. If they can activate your emotions, they have a greater chance of lowering your guard. A healthy dose of cynicism goes a long way. . .

Ouch. The behavior of an ex can be bizarre and manipulative, for sure! Hang in there. . .eventually the emotional roller-coaster will level out, the pain will subside, and you will establish a new "normal" in your life. Sounds like you're handling this situation with dignity and self-respect, and I'm proud of you for that!
