People should talk a bunch in email before trusting anyone with their phone numbers..thats my thoughts and practice anyway,,,,,

But after THAT,,,I love the phone ALOT more than typing, lol,,as YOU might note,,,im NOT the typer or english grammer guy,,,,lol

LOL, I prefer to send a few emails, decide if I want to send my IM info, then talk a while via IM's. Then meet in a public location BEFORE giving a phone number. So if the person turns out to be creepy, he doesn't have my number.
WOW,,,im a dude and I have never met anyone I didn't get a feel of them through a phone call first,,your brave,,,,,lol
drinker drinker drinker

In a public coffee shop, on a busy afternoon, and don't go home if the person seems questionable. So they can't follow you. If you give out a phone number, they can get annoying and harassing. And I just don't like to talk on the phone anyway. I'm a computer or face to face sort of person.

Am I just strange that I find it rather offensive when someone I've never chatted with emails me asking for my phone number?

I've had guys send me their numbers in their friend requests. No prior contact. I think it's funny that they think that will actually work.
