From a mother's point of view I wouldn't allow my 15 yr old to date a 20 yr old ever.

I'm not sure on this one. Part of me wants to agree with the two posts above me. There is a big difference between those years, a lot of growing up. It is a scary thought to think of someone college aged dating someone who can't even drive yet.

However, so many people say that age is just a number. My mother and my father met at 14 and 19. They are happily married at 68 and 62 (not her birthday yet).

But then again, this was in a small town in the early 60's when dates were chaperoned and premarital sex was much more uncommon than today. They waited until the honeymoon. (24 and 29)

IF you are going to do it, make sure you check out the local laws!!!! If you are not sure what I am talking about, go here:

She has not yet reached the age of consent. She is viewed as not having the ability to make correct choices when it come to sex partners.

Your friend could find himself up on charges. He could become a sexual offender as a result. Forget morality issues, it's is against the law.

In some states she has reached the age of consent.

Check the laws in your state.

It depends on the maturity of both of the kids (and I do mean both kids) I would however put the girl on bith control and teach her about STDs. If a 20 year old wants to date a 15 year old however I'd check the mental stabilty of that 20 year old...

Tell him to contact his lawyer. whoa

Age of consent laws are usually based upon two people the same age making the decision to have sex together. The laws can look at difference in age when judging whether or not to pursue criminal charges.
