Topic: How Do You Know?

This may sound dumb, but it may help to know that it's coming from someone who hasn't dated since high school when it was pretty damned cut and dry. ("Will you go out with me?" "Why, yes I will.") Not so cut and dry now and I'm confused. Maybe some vets can help me out here. How do you know when you're actually a couple?

From what I've heard, when you two mutually agree to be exclusive, it means you're a couple.

when you both agree upon it! At least that is when it happened for me. Open comminucation, just ask "so we are an exclusive couple right?"

Gotcha. That makes sense I guess... as grown-ups taking a little more time than "hey, you're cute. Wanna be my boyfriend?" is a very good idea. Thanks!

OMG...I'm so glad to know there is someone else out there who has no idea about the "rules!" Does there have to BE rules??? I just live in a constant state of confusion in that arena! So I guess -good luck and have fun!
