While I have never experienced the death of a husband I can only assume that will take quite a while to get to a point where you are not thinking about him constantly and reach a point where you can move on. But ultimately you will never forget him so just remember the good times and tell yourself that he would want you to do whatever you can to make yourself happy.

I once heard that it takes half the time that you two were together to get over that special someone. So, if you were together for 6 years, ti will take 3 to be over him. I dont know if it's true, but my ex and I were together for 3 yrs. and it's only been a year since, and I still aint over him.

At my best, I can befriend the past, and its life in the present, and loved ones who cherish its value.

The mighty oak and the awesome mountain alike show their past in the shapes they become. As do the flying eagle and the solitary doe.

Walking alongside another for long enough will slowly displace the past with the future coming into the present. Walking alone continues the past, but you are no longer alone.
