I heard great commentary tonight about the fact that regardless of who you voted for...this is such a historic event for Americans. The race issues is part of that, but also that this is the highest turn-out ever and that we've managed to actually motivate the "young voter" where we've not been able to do that before and we are sending such a powerful message to the rest of the world re: our real spirit. We should all be really proud to participate in this electorial process...

so whether your candidate won/lost tonight, here's to a new day for EVERYONE!

Well said, Galengirl. Also, the high turnout is something to be proud of. I know both my kids voted (18 & 22). It's a great day for democracy!

All I can say-when the country turns to total crap-it will be all on your heads-I really hope you will enjoy war in your own back yards.

we should pass a law that says anyone that leaves the country because they pout due to an election shouldn't be able to return when things begin to go their way
