Thanksgiving, a time to share, with friends and family.
A big turkey for the head of the house to slice, so manly.
This time of year, we think of all who we hold very dear.
The ones who have been there for us and helped us through.
All the people we have met and held in our hearts so true.
Family talking about their lives, jobs, births, and wives.
Just a peaceful day, relaxing and laughing. And a little play.
Gram-pa and Gram-ma both feeling and showing their age.
The aroma of turkey roasting, pumpkin pies baking, and sage.
Little-ones running about. Laughing, fighting all in shout.
Memories of this day thinking back through past turkey days.
Thinking and talking about the ones who have passed away.
Still remembering their loving charms. Now missed everyday
This special time of the fall, now seeing it all so clear.
Its the day to make new memories,last through til next year
