Tell them that God made them just the way they are. He loves them unconditionally. Also, tell them everything good about them.

How can you help someone with low self esteem and no self confidence? They have to change that within themselves, no one can change that for them but them. All you can do is try and get them to see that there is beauty in everyone and everything.

You can't Mirror. You really can't. You can point it out and offer to be supporive, but they must do it on their own, with professional help if they are serious. Groups work really well for these sorts of problems, but individual sessions are needed too. I truly believe these issues stem from childhood and early adulthood and until those problems are out they can't get over it and move forward to improve and gain confidence.
