lies on some profiles. Why? When you are under 5 feet and clearly weigh a good 250 lbs, you are not considered average! I don't know if this goes on in male profiles or not. I'm sure the girls will let me know!

Yes it happens with male profiles as well. Mine is a good example of that.

Yeah. Some people like to take some rather extreme liberties with their dimensions.

If it's not weight or height, it's age too-

I reading one particularly funny profile when I was on another dating site... her profile said she was 32. However, all of her testimonials (similar to the ones here on Mingle) were filled with people saying stuff like, "DUDE! You aren't even CLOSE to being 32!!!" and stuff. And she wasn't, either- she was closer to being 62 than 32.

After a number of pages of people calling bunk on her rather glaring twisting of the truth, she said that she had put the age she FELT on her profile, as she thought that would be a better representation of who she truly was.

Needless to say, that resulted in even MORE people calling bunk on her lack-of-truthfulness.

Yeah, happens with men too.....that few extra pounds appears to be a very vague classification. Oh, and "divorced" doesn't always mean divorced.

It's disturbing isn't it!!

I watched a topic about this on the news one morning, I won't mention what they said but it was true.

Yeah I had one of those dates once. Said she was 40 and 140 pounds- yeah 20 years ago. I asked her why she lied. She said "Because I'm lonely". Sorry. I can't trust you- you lied. Bye!
