I think I can speak from both sides of the fence here. My first husband was 24 years older than me. We had a wonderful normal marriage till the day he passed away 9 years. I have dated men my age and I have dated men a whole lot younger than me. I have dated men older than me.

I think people should throw out the age factor and look for compatiblity. Are looks important yes to a point. You can only look at great eye candy for so long. Great in Bed yeah that is a plus again you can only do that for so long. Then reality sets in and well there better be more there to keep this old woman around.


Now the OP mentioned the matchmaker show. Well honestly how many success stories does she have under her belt. I personally think she is a very declasse person I am no where near millionaire income and she turns me totally off. If a person talked to me in such a low class way I would have no faith that she would even have the contacts to set me up with anyone in my income level or compatiblity.
JMO... Not trying to sound like a snob just being a bit real here.

I don't see derision here at all .. I see people giving back in the same 'attitude' she spoke her opinion.

Somebody up top said that looks are important when a younger lady picks an older guy. I agree.

I am in my 40's and have recently been 'pulled' by a woman over 10 years younger. She saw my photo on a cycling site and decided she wanted me. Who was I to argue. Two weeks later and we are deep into the hottest most open/honest sex I have ever known.

The reason she picked me instead of a younger guy? I am fit, I cycle LOTs and I got myself in shape on my bikes. So ok it's a physical/lycra thing. Shallow I know but at my age I can live with that for a while lol!

Age does not matter one frickin' bit. My last girlfriend was 18 and the one before that was 36. Age is truly just a number. I've met quite a few 18 and 19 year olds that were more mature than some women 20 years their elder. No offense to anyone.

I agree but from the opposite end. I've dated guys in their 20's who run circles around guys in their 40's or even 50's .. so ya.
