I dated this incredibly gorgeous guy for about 7 months.
I never felt intimidated by his looks or presence because he made me feel like the most important person to him. I didn't ask him to fawn over me nor did I need his reassurance that he liked me; he just made me feel that way through his actions. He was also beautiful on the inside which is why I wasn't intimidated. I felt comfortable and myself around him.

Probably not unless they change their point of view.. It sounds like this person is insecure or made to feel insecure by the person they hold so high in value.. If this perfect goddess of a person is genuine and not demeaning then the other person has to find a way to get more secure with them self... Age and maturity will usually lend a hand,,,also working on conquering fears, self exploration for knowledge, exercise, and diet will make you feel extremely confident... This person is just a person like you and me... I have put people on a pedicel at times in the past as well and it's not very healthy to over do that... It's one thing to respect their knowledge and beauty.. It's another thing to make you feel insecure or unworthy in their presence... They should feel happy they find them so attractive and intelligent.. These are important attributes for longevity in any relationship... I hope it works out and they find terms of attraction within them self and their partner that will bring them contentment.... Can a relationship between two people last if one person is incredibly intimidated by the others physical beauty, intelligence and personality?Is it "normal" to feel insignificant and completely unworthy next to such a person? it's normal for me to feel that way around such a person, but then again, i don't meet too many who have all of that going on. i do feel intimidated and insignificant by/around beautiful women. but i have a pretty good personality and i'm fairly intelligent so i usually feel pretty safe there. . . . |
