Been raising my son since he was two. Never had a problem till now soon to be nine. The tantrums drive me nuts. I need times to take a brake by the pond to regroup. I say terrible eights.....

There are phases, I think, not just one age where they are "terrible". Someone once told me that boys cut their teeth on their fathers, girls on their mothers.

My 13 y/o is still in her "terrible twos"!!!

i have one 8 and one 21. i use the 1.2.3 thing. one you put your toys away 2 i told you to put the toy away if i go to 3 you are grounded for x number of days if you go to 3 don't back down. if you say 3 days no tv do it.it works in the outside world to just raise on finger and then 2 then 3 they don't even need you to say a thing. they know i had to use it in church one time.it is a blessing if you need more help email me. it is very easy you have a strong willed child. no big thing. i never lay a hand on my child.
