She can always go back right?

College is supposed to be stressful. I wouldnt ask her to stop college. That would be stupid. Just......to take a break from studying so hard so much. Stop.....relax.......go for a walk. Smell the roses so to speak.

Yes, it's wrong. Let her get her education. If she needs a break, she will take one. You are there to support her. Support her. She's doing this for her parents, so you say, and you ask her to stop? So in sum, you are asking her to choose you over her parents? That's manipulative.

Don't stop her from attending college. She will regret it if she does and will resent you later on. Is there anyway you can relieve some of the burden(s)? Housework, kids, laundry, paying bills.

this is not the first time you approach this subject (am I right) first time you asked her if she'd stop going to school for you. Now this, yikes.

Realized I hadn't responded, yes it's wrong and selfish. jmo

wrong all I said was if she wanted to do college she needs to do it for her self...you should never do something you don't love cause you always end up not liking what you went through to get where you're at.

you last asked this question because you and her got into a fight because you wanted her to be willing to quit college to spend more time with you if you asked her to. now you're saying because it's stressful for her.

i wonder why you keep finding reasons for her to quit college even though you know she doesn't want to.

why do you dislike the fact that she is furthering her education?

are you intimidated by it?

if i were her i would see you as a negative and draining force in my life and i would take a break from YOU and not college.

just leave her be, college isn't forever. if you can't stand the fact that she is trying to better herself, i suggest perhaps:

1. getting over it
2. bettering yourself so you don't feel intimidated
3. getting a divorce

unless she enjoys landscaping, construction, retail, or food service, shes gonna want to go to college. every day i go to work to serve tables all that runs through my head is that i need o graduate with SOME sort of a degree. a degree in anything. just having a degree opens up so many doors.

unless you enjoy an hourly wage, stay in school.

I think you're pretty selfish - what's your ulterior motive? why do you want her to stop? what do you gain? let her be, mind your business or why not enroll and join her in college?
