Make a mixture of grated cucumber with milk and apply it on the sunburned skin.. it is a staple at my house for severe sunburns.. You can also use Greek Yogurt too.. Calamine lotion.. If she starts to blister and ooze use warm wash cloth with anibiotic oinment to keep blisters clean and BE CAREFUl for next time.. The more severe burns at a young age ups the chances for skin ca in her adult years..

When I was younger, I had it real bad. I had body aches and chills. It lasted for a couple of days. I was staying at a ranch that had a nurse. I did see the nurse but can't remember what they did.

I have a NP friend I called her she said I was treating her the right way and if she starts the fever then a trip to the Doc is in order.

Ask her doctor first......but I use Benadryl. The first few times I get in the sun every year I break out in hives. Benadryl helps with the itching and swelling. For me, I get over it once I'm use to the sun again.

She is all healed now looking her beautiful self again....I went with the cold compresses, aloe and Ibuprophen. She never ran a fever but her face sure did scab up!
Thanks for all the advice :)
